EPS shape moulding requires a high level of services infrastructure to supply compressed air, vacuum, cooling water and steam, in addition to the production machinery. The LPL plant has modern and well maintained services and production plant.

Production plant includes modern pre expansion equipment and moulding machinery. The machinery has been sourced from one of the world’s leading manufacturers and is amongst the most efficient available. In particular it combines low energy consumption with fast cycle times to produce dry products. The flexibility to produce in small batch sizes is provided by a quick change mould system which makes this equipment particularly suitable for the New Zealand market. A close relationship is maintained with the manufacturer.

The company maintains an extensive inventory of tooling. A feature which enhances production flexibility is that all tooling is able to run on almost all machinery.

Machinery and tooling are rigorously maintained with a documented preventative maintenance programme. The plant runs a flexible two shift, five day operation.

Spare production capacity is maintained at all times.
